When the superstitious school master, Ichabod Crane, arrives in Sleepy Hollow, he quickly becomes fascinated by the beautiful Katrina Van Tassel - and finds himself in competition with the boisterous Brom Bones. But romance and rivalry soon give way to something far more sinister as Ichabod encounters the terrifying legend that has haunted the valley for generations... The Headless Horseman.

Cratchit

"Cratchit" is an original family holiday musical presented by the Country Gate Players Workshop Cooperative.

Generations after the beloved “Tiny Tim” captured the hearts of readers in A Christmas Carol, his descendant, Timothy Cratchit, Esquire, has inherited the family name—but very little of the family’s Christmas spirit.

A successful but hard-hearted attorney, Tim has little patience for Christmas, compassion, or even his own family’s enthusiasm for a holiday musical. His increasingly selfish behavior alienates his wife and children, while his relentless prosecution of Archie Archibald threatens to separate another father from his two daughters.

But on Christmas Eve, Tim receives an unexpected visitor: the ghost of his famous ancestor, Tiny Tim Cratchit. With plenty of humor, a bit of supernatural intervention, and some decidedly unconventional advice, Tiny Tim takes his descendant on a journey that forces him to confront his past, witness the consequences of his actions, and glimpse the future he may create if he refuses to change.

Featuring original songs, colorful characters, and a (hopefully) heartfelt message, “Cratchit” offers a contemporary twist on the Dickens tradition—a Christmas story about family, forgiveness, compassion, and listening to the “better angels” of our nature.
